	The lastest technological jewel of Sacmi labelling is the Formsleeve+, a modular labelling machine that allows the application of a tubular sleeve created on the machine from roll fed stock. The sleeve is made on a series of motorized mandrels through the use of vacuum technology. The sleeve is sealed with a laser source that is controlled by a high speed scanner. The welded sleeve is then applied to the container below. A tunnel positioned at the outfeed of the labeller then completes the shrinking process. The creation of the sleeve is integrated into the labeling process therefore resulting in savings against the traditional sleeve converting process. This new process, thanks to Roll Fed technology, allows unlimited autonomy and is adaptable to different film types. Different from other welding processes, like hot melt, or ultrasound welding, or chemical solvents, the laser welding does not produce toxic gas like ozone, dioxin and chlorine, which are known to contaminate the product.
